Originally from UPSTATE South Carolina, I married a Kentucky native in 1995, so now I’m a “Kentucky Import”. In 1997, we had our first child, a son, and in 1999, we had our second and last, a daughter! We have a very cute “Shih Tzu” pup…we call him “Chance”. We live a pretty simple life as family. We enjoy doing things together. My DH serves in the National Guard, returned from Iraq November 2006…YES…Guardsmen DO go to Iraq…over 1/2 the soldiers in Iraq are National Guard!! We never thought it’d happen to us…but it did!! He’s back now and…we look at life a LOT differently. We bought a NEW home in March…one perk of being a Veteran…good finance rates!! We LOVE the house. We enjoy sitting on the porch, taking walks around the neighborhood, watching the kids play in the nearby park…and listenin to the frogs & crickets at night. Our kids stay busy…they’ve been into Karate, Baseball, Gymnastics, Golf, and Tennis. As a family, we’ve been known to hit the tennis courts, grab our bat, ball and glove and one day…I promised my son, he and I will hit the golf course together. We’ve recently gotten back into GEOCACHING…a GREAT family activity. We have another family that has hooked up to with us on few hunts…I really hope we get to do that more! I’m addicted to scrapbooking and crafting! I try to find time for it regularly, but other obligations seem to prevail. I finally have a NICE craft room….part of the criteria when we were hunting for a house…and while it’s not completed yet…it’s still very nice. I hope we’ll finish it by the end of the year…if I can make up my mind on the layout!!
